The collectible route is perfectly regular
Halo: Campaign Evolved places three discoverable Skulls and one UNSC Terminal in every campaign mission. That creates a 52-item route across thirteen missions: thirty-nine Skulls and thirteen Terminals. The ten rebuilt Halo: Combat Evolved chapters account for thirty Skulls and ten Terminals, while the three Operation: Meteorite missions add the remaining nine Skulls and three Terminals. Because the pattern never changes, a mission is complete only when its local counter reads three of three Skulls and one of one Terminal.
Skulls emit an audible cue when Master Chief is close, and Terminals use the normal interact command. The default interaction is X on Xbox, Square on PlayStation, and E on keyboard. Environmental language matters more than brute-force searching: side caves, ledges that run against the objective marker, quiet rooms beside a main combat space, and routes that require a vehicle or grenade-assisted jump are deliberate places to slow down.
Use mission replay instead of restarting the story
For a first playthrough, collect anything that sits naturally on the mission route and protect the story’s pace. After the credits, open mission replay and clear one chapter at a time. Record a mission only after the collectibles screen confirms all four items; this prevents a found Skull from being confused with one that was merely seen or reached before a checkpoint reload.
A clean sweep works best in mission order because the Terminal names form a readable lore sequence and the difficulty curve makes advanced movement easier to practice gradually. Bring a precision weapon when possible, preserve grenades before suspicious vertical spaces, and avoid triggering irreversible objective transitions until nearby side paths have been checked. In co-op, assign one player to the objective route and one to edges, then regroup before checkpoints so every participant receives the discovery state.
The route unlocks modes as well as achievements
Finding any three campaign Skulls unlocks Campaign Remix and also unlocks Adaptation, Armistice, and Reload. LASO becomes available after seventeen specific Skulls have been collected, so a player interested in difficulty modes should not wait for all thirty-nine. The collectible achievements escalate from Cranial for the first Skull, through Making a Necklace at twenty-two, to Headhunter for the complete Skull set. Lore Have Mercy requires every Terminal, and Collector’s Addition requires all Skulls and Terminals.
Each mission also has its own clean-sweep achievement. This makes mission-by-mission tracking more useful than a single percentage: if one chapter shows three Skulls but no Terminal, the global total can look healthy while the per-mission reward remains blocked. The interactive tracker keeps those four local checks together and stores progress only in the current browser.
